The acquisition strengthens Sweco’s position in Norway, in project and construction management.

Stema was founded in 2001 and consists of approximately 90 employees, as well as a larger number of associated consultants. The acquisition also includes the subsidiary Byggeråd. Combined, the companies generated NOK 177 million in sales in 2021.

OBOS Prosjekt AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of OBOS BBL, owns 81.4% of Stema. The remaining shares are held by four Stema employees.

As a result of changing strategic priorities at OBOS, we have been looking for a suitable new owner, which we have found in Sweco.
