Arribatec ASA divests its Marine business unit to Star Information Systems

The publicly listed Norwegian company, Arribatec Group ASA, divests its marine software division to Star Information Systems.

On the 4th of March 2025, Arribatec Group ASA entered into an agreement to sell its Marine business unit to Star Information Group. The Marine business unit develops software used for maritime fleet management, and is known for its product suite, Infoship. Today, its customer list includes some of the world’s largest cruise operators, such as MSC and Norwegian Cruise Lines. The divestment of the business unit is part of Arribatec Group ASA’s strategic decision to increase focus on its core activities and increase financial flexibility.

Arribatec Group ASA (https://www.arribatec.com/) is an IT services and consulting company with expertise in technology for integrated business solutions. It is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and serves more than 1,700 companies in 25 countries. Arribatec Group ASA is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Star Information Systems AS (https://www.sismarine.com/) is a global maritime software solution provider. The company is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway and operates through five global offices with a team of around 60 professionals. The company has since 2024 been owned by the Norwegian private equity firm, Longship.

The transaction was closed 18 March 2025.
