Alpha advises Montel and The Riverside Company in the acquisition of Energy Brainpool GmbH

Montel, a leading provider of energy information and services, has announced that it has acquired Energy Brainpool, a renowned energy market analysis, software modelling and consultancy firm based in Berlin.

Alpha Corporate Finance has acted as financial advisor to Montel and its majority owner, The Riverside Company, the global private equity investor.

This strategic move represents a significant step in Montel's mission to strengthen its position in global energy markets and enhance its comprehensive range of services to its clients.

Energy Brainpool GmbH & Co. KG offers independent energy market expertise with a focus on market design, price development and trading in Germany and Europe. Their range of services includes fundamental modelling of electricity prices with the Power2Sim software as well as a variety of analyses, forecasts and scientific studies.
