Alpha Corporate Finance AS (“Alpha”) is joining Fearnley Securities AS (“Fearnley Securities”). The agreement marks a strategic step to combine Alpha’s specialized M&A advisory expertise in the Nordic region with Fearnley Securities’ global platform for capital markets and transaction advisory. Together, the two firms will form a stronger entity with greater capacity, a broader range of services, and enhanced competitiveness. The transaction is expected to be completed in early 2026, at which point the teams will co-locate at Fearnley Securities’ offices in Oslo.
Fearnley Securities is an independent investment bank offering a wide range of services, including equity and bond trading, research, capital markets transactions (ECM/DCM), M&A advisory, restructurings, and project finance — particularly within the shipping, offshore, and energy sectors. In addition to its headquarters in Oslo, the firm has offices in London, New York, and Singapore with approximately 130 employees.
The combination will establish an integrated advisory platform that merges local Nordic M&A expertise with global capital markets infrastructure. For clients, this means: • Access to a broader range of products and an international network through Fearnley Securities’ platform • A stronger capital markets position and comprehensive advisory capabilities across both M&A and ECM/DCM • A continuation of Fearnley Securities’ long-term strategy for growth and diversification, with an expanded presence in advisory services All advisory activities will be organized within one unified Investment Banking Division at Fearnley Securities, leveraging the strengths, resources, and relationships of both firms.
“We share Fearnley Securities’ ambition to grow and offer even broader and more advanced services to our clients. Together, we will have a stronger foundation for further development. On behalf of our clients, we are enthusiastic about the opportunities this combination brings.”
“The Alpha transaction reflects our growth strategy to broaden our range of services, expand our office network, and build further on the global position of the Astrup Fearnley companies. This is a natural part of our ambition to grow and continue developing the group. We have an ambitious growth strategy and a clear goal of attracting the most talented professionals within our business areas internationally.”
“In recent years, Astrup Fearnley has focused strongly on growth and expansion of the group’s service areas – both within traditional brokerage and advisory services, as well as through the establishment of Fearnley Asset Management within asset management. The group currently employs around 420 people, up from 320 in 2021, and is represented in 14 countries and 18 offices worldwide, with Geneva, Dubai, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and São Paulo added in the past three years.”
“The combination with Alpha strengthens our advisory capabilities and continues our strategy of growth and diversification. We look forward to building on Alpha’s strong M&A competence and innovative approach.”
“Alpha has built an impressive M&A platform that we will combine with our international network and capital markets product range. Together, we will be able to offer clients an even stronger and more comprehensive platform.”
