Villa Paradiso Group partners with Credo to accelerate growth
It has been a privilege for us to work with the Villa founders and management - good people, good company, good fun.

Jan Vardøen and Trond Haug have spent 15 years building what has become a legendary institution in Oslo as far as restaurants go. Building on the continuous stream of customers looking for that genuine Italian warmth in the midst of our cold capital, somewhat of an Italian eco-system has emerged from the efforts of these warm-hearted, entrepreneurial spirits.

The famous Villa Paradiso Restaurants, the new and soon-to-be-famous Piccolo Paradiso outlets, along with most of the other Italian restaurants in Oslo and Eastern-Norway, are all being serviced by Villa Import, which although you are likely never to have heard of, has become one of Norway’s largest importers of cheese. Villa Import also deals in cured meats, wines and other Italian delicacies needed to operate Italian restaurants. This, supplemented by Villa-branded pizza sauce, Tipo 00 flour, their own wine brand – Vino Paradiso - and a ton of generosity and compassion, make up the Villa eco-system that we all love and cherish.

When we say they have built this eco-system, it is in the literal sense... Jan, originally a boat builder, and Trond, a cabinetmaker, have handcrafted most of the interior and furniture of the Villa Paradiso restaurants and Piccolo Paradiso take-away outlets, not to mention the twenty-something other bars and restaurants under their influence. Not half-bad compared to the all-thumbs suits fortunate enough to advise them in finding a qualified partner for accelerating the development of the eco-system. We are proud to have been trusted to aid them with the most significant transition so far in the history of what is now Villa Paradiso Group.

Jan and Trond are obviously not alone in running the Villa show, and a special thanks and admiration also to the Villa Import head and Italy-expert Dag Stähli and the Group CEO and energizer Meissam Bozaghian is in order.

The Villa Paradiso Group project is to us a perfect example of how working hard with good people makes it possible to mix good fun with good business.
